GVMC Remembrance Day Crib Tournament
The GVMC's Remembrance Day Crib Tournament will be held on Saturday Nov. 11, 2017 at the GVMC Clubhouse at #306-192nd St. Surrey B.C. Sign up and coffee will be from 10:30am - 11:00am with the games starting at 11:02am after two minutes silence to honour our veterans. The event is generally over by 4:00pm. Signup is $20.00 which includes snacks, a meal and cash prizes. All are welcome. You don't have to be a Club member to participate. Just a beginner - come on out and learn - we don't play cut throat crib. Everyone is more than happy to help new players. It's great fun - lots of laughs - and a chance to socialize off the bikes. Friends and family are welcome as well.
As we only have room for a maximum of 32 playersplease let us know if you are planning on attending by contacting us through the Contact Us on the left so that we can put your name on the list and count noses for food. Be sure to give us a phone number so that we can contact you if there are any changes to the event or if our quota is filled.

The Remembrance Day Crib Tournament was held on Saturday Nov 11, 2017. Twelve games were played with available snacks and a dinner to follow. Dinner food & snacks were purchased accordingly for the number of people particiapating.
We had a full showing for a 24-player tourney, with two non-signups –arrivals who were unable to play. Sorry - but one stayed and assisted throughout. Also, two kibitzers helped and encouraged the players.
First place went to Gina Ashby and Dave Seifert, second to Debbie Jamison and Don Bowman, third to Jackie Heppler and Ron Serne. Low score to Lori Nicholls and Greg Nicholls
50/50 draw was won by Debbie Jamison
We managed to show a profit of 139.60 and some food was left at the club.
A special THANK YOU to Donna Serne, Phil &Julie Blackburn, John Pearson, Dave Seifert, Jackie Heppler, and Debbie Jamison for assistance with food prep, paper trail and clean up for this event. I must thank all I have missed who helped because every time I looked up another guest was contributing.
I think all enjoyed their day and I hope will come to the GVMC Spring Crib Tournament in March. Jim
