History Of The Chipmunk Creek Trail Ride
Chipmunk Creek Trail Ride
The Chipmunk Creek Trail Ride was started in 2012 by the organizers of the Piston Run. They felt with all the time and work the Club did clearing, developing, and maintaining trails they should be using them for more than one Run per year. There were also plans, at the time, to develop a short loop that was suitable for small, wheeled bikes which would attract families and kids, so the Bear Loop was built.
It was decided to hold the event in late summer when all the snow would be gone off the higher trails to expand the full use of the course and try a Poker Run rather than an all-out competition.
The first event was a great success and each year it has gotten bigger. In later years, we rebuilt the Bear Cup Loop and added a Kidís event as well, making this a great time for families and also avid riders.
