GVMC Jim Brooke Memorial Crib Tournament
Mark this date Tuesday, November 11, 2025 on your calendar for a great day of card playing and fun and laughter.
The GVMC's Jim Brooke Memorial Crib Tournament will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025 at the GVMC Clubhouse at #306-192nd St. Surrey B.C.
Sign up and coffee will be from 10:00am - 11:00am with the games starting at 11:02am after two minutes silence to honour our veterans. The event is generally over by 4:00pm.
Signup is $25.00 which includes snacks, a meal, and cash prizes.
All are welcome. You don't have to be a Club member to participate. Just a beginner - come on out and learn - we don't play cutthroat crib. Everyone is more than happy to help new players. It's great fun - lots of laughs - and a chance to socialize off the bikes. Friends and family welcome as well.
Please let us know if you are planning on attending by contacting us through the Contact Us on the left so that we can put your name on the list and count noses for food. Be sure to give us a phone number so that we can contact you if there are any changes to the event.

Event Comments:
The GVMC Jim Brooke Memorial Remembrance Day Crib Tournament was held on November 11. 2025.
We started the day with coffee and pastries at 10:00am and by 11:00am we had 14 players. After two minutes silence was held in memory of service members lost or injured in previous conflicts the games began with snacks, laughter and camaraderie. After a slow start, we rounded up two more players rounding out the tables with four games of four players.
At 2:00pm we stopped for a hearty meal of beef stew followed by pie and Ice cream; all thanks to Linda Kingston. Kitchen help was provided by Julie Blackburn, Cheryl Acton, Virginia Billing and June Busch. Thanks as always to Jackie Heppler for doing the registration and any others I may have forgotten.
